The Québec Vipassana Centre, also called in Pali, Dhamma Suttama, meaning “the best of Dhamma,” is located halfway between Montréal and Ottawa/Gatineau, five kilometers north of Montebello. On this exceptional property, in a tranquil, open valley surrounded by forest, the centre can accommodate more than 100 students per course. Purchased in February 2011, the new centre continues to uphold the mission of the former Sutton centre established in 1999.
- Access the application form by clicking Apply for the desired course. Old students will be given the option to serve.
- Please carefully read the Introduction to the Technique and Code of Discipline which you will be asked to follow during your course.
- Fully and completely fill out all the sections of application form and submit it. An application is required to register for all courses.
- Await notification. All correspondence will be through e-mail if you give an e-mail address in your application. Due to the large volume of applications, it may take up to two weeks before receiving notification.
- If your application is accepted then we require you to confirm you will be attending in order to secure your place in the course.

Courses resume in June with reduced participation and in compliance with the sanitary instructions issued by the Public Health.
Students are expected at the centre between 2 and 4 pm for the registration period and the orientation. The course ends the morning of the 11th day by 6:30 am.
Registration opens on the specified date at 5:00 a.m. during Standard Time and 6:00 a.m. during Daylight Savings Time.

Students may apply to sit no more than one 10-day course. Any additional applications will not be processed.

The online application form encrypts your information before it is sent from your computer to our application server. However, it may not be totally secure even though encryption is used. If you are concerned about the possibility of security risks of your confidential information while it is on the Internet, do not use this form and instead download an application. By faxing or posting your application form it may delay the registration process by one to two weeks.

All courses are run solely on a donation basis. All expenses are met by donations from those who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the same opportunity. Neither the Teacher nor the assistant teachers receive remuneration; they and those who serve the courses volunteer their time. Thus Vipassana is offered free from commercialisation.
Old students are those who have completed a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course with S.N. Goenka or his Assistant Teachers. Old students have the opportunity to provide Dhamma Service at the courses listed.
ද්වි භාෂා පාඨමාලා Bilingual courses මෙම පාඨමාලාවල දී ඉගැන්වීම කරනු ලබන්නේ භාෂා දෙකකිනි. රාත්රි ධම්ම දේශනාවන් වෙන් වෙන්ව අසන්නට ලැබේ.
පාඨමාලා මධ්යස්ථානවලදී සහ මධ්යස්ථාන නොවන ස්ථානවල දී පවත්වනු ලැබේ. භාවනා මධ්යස්ථාන යනු අවුරුද්දක් පාසා නිරන්තරයෙන් පාඨමාලා පවත්වනු ලබන ඒ සඳහා අවශ්ය පහසුකම් සළසා ඇති ස්ථාන වේ. Before meditation centers were established in this tradition, all courses were held at temporary sites, such as campgrounds, religious retreat centers, churches and the like. Today, in regions where centers have not yet been established by local students of Vipassana who live in the area, 10 Day meditation courses are held at non-center course sites.
10-දින පාඨමාලා විපස්සනා භාවනා ක්රමය දවසින් දවස හඳුන්වා දෙන පාඨමාලාවකි. පස්වරු 2- 4 කාලය තුළ ලියාපදිංචි කිරීම සහ පාඨමාලා පූර්ව දේශනයකින් පාඨමාලාව පටන් ගෙන දින 10 ක් පුරා භාවනා කිරීමෙන් පසු 11 වන දින උදෑසන 7.30 ට අවසන් වෙයි.
10 දින විශේෂ පාඨමාලාව දැඩි උනන්දුවක් දක්වන, මේ භාවනා ක්රමයට කැප වී සිටින , අවම වශයෙන් දින දහයේ පාඨමාලා 5කුත්, එක් සතිපට්ඨාන භාවනා පාඨමාලාවකුත් සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති, එමෙන්ම අවම වශයෙන් එක් දස දින පාඨමාලාවකවත් ධම්ම සේවය කර ඇති, වසර දෙකක කාලයක් තිස්සේ භාවනා කිරීම පවත්වා ගෙන යන පැරණි සිසුන් සඳහා පමණි.

20-දින පාඨමාලාව විවෘතව තිබෙන්නේ මේ භාවනා ක්රමයට කැප වී සිටින, අවම වශයෙන් 10-දින පාඨමාලා පහකුත්, එක් සතිපට්ඨාන පාඨමාලාවකුත් සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති , එමෙන්ම අවම වශයෙන් එක් 10-දින පාඨමාලාවක ධම්ම සේවය කර ඇති, අවම වශයෙන් දෙවසරක් පුරා භාවනා කිරීම නිති ලෙස පවත්වා ගෙන ආ දැඩි උනන්දුවක් දක්වන පැරණි සිසුන් සඳහා ය.

30-දින පාඨමාලා විවෘත වන්නේ අවම වශයෙන් 10-දින පාඨමාලා හයකුත් ( එක් පාඨමාලාවක් පළමුවන 20-දින පාඨමාලාවෙන් පසුව ), එක් 20-දින පාඨමාලාවකුත්, එක් සතිපට්ඨාන පාඨමාලාවකුත් සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති, වසර දෙකක කාලයක් තිස්සේ භාවනා කිරීම දිගටම පවත්වා ගෙන යන දැඩි උනන්දුවක් දක්වන , මෙම භාවනා ක්රමයට කැප වී සිටින පැරණි සිසුන් සඳහා පමණි.

45-දින පාඨමාලා විවෘත වන්නේ අවම වශයෙන් 10-දින පාඨමාලා හතකුත්, ( එක් පාඨමාලාවක් අන්තිම 30-දින පාඨමාලාවෙන් පසුව) 30-දින පාඨමාලා දෙකකුත්, එක් සතිපට්ඨාන පාඨමාලාවකුත්, සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති පසු ගිය වසර තුනක කාලයක් තුළ නිති ලෙස භාවනාවේ යෙදුන සහායක ගුරුවරුන්ට සහ ධම්ම සේවයේ නියුක්ත පුද්ගලයන්ට පමණි.

පැරණි ශිෂ්ය වැඩසටහන සේවා / වැඩ කාල පරිච්ඡේදයට සමාන වේ. මධ්යස්ථානය නඩත්තු කිරීම්, ඉදි කිරීම්, ගෘහස්ථ සහ උද්යාන ව්යාපෘති ආදි වැඩ කටයුතු වලට කාලය ඇති අතර, සහායක ගුරුවරුන් හමුවීම, කමිටු රැස්වීම්, භාරකාර මණ්ඩල රැස්වීම් ආදි කටයුතු සඳහා වැඩි අවස්ථා ඇත. සියළුම පැරණි සිසුන්ට සහභාගි වීමට ඇරයුම් කෙරේ. සමූහ භාවනා තුනක් සහ වැඩ කාලයන් මෙයට ඇතුළත් වන අතර සන්ධ්යාවේ දී පැරණි සිසුන් සඳහා ගොඑන්කා තුමා විසින් කරන ලද විශේෂ දේශනා වලට ඇහුම්කම් දීමට ද ඉඩ සැලසෙනු ඇත.
සතිපට්ඨාන පාඨමාලා වලදී ද අනුගමනය කරනු ලබන්නේ 10-දින පාඨමාලා වල කාලසටහන සහ විනය නීතිමාලාවමය. වෙනසකට ඇත්තේ සන්ධ්යා කාලයේ සතිපට්ඨාන සූත්රය විග්රහ කරමින් ධර්ම දේශනාව පැවැත්වීමයි. විපස්සනා භාවනා ක්රමය ක්රමානුකූලව මෙම සූත්රයෙහි උගන්වනු ලැබේ.මෙම පාඨමාලාවලට සහභාගි විය හැකි වන්නේ 10-දින පාඨමාලා තුනක් සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති, ( කර ඇති ධම්මසේවා මෙයට අඩංගු නැත.) අවසාන 10-දින පාඨමාලාවෙන් පසුව වෙනත් භාවනා ක්රමයක් අනුගමනය නොකළ, වසරක් පුරා මෙම විපස්සනා භාවනා ක්රමය දිගටම අනුගමනය කළ, දිනපතා භාවනා කිරීම පවත්වා ගෙන යන, එමෙන්ම , මෙම පාඨමාලාව සඳහා ඉල්ලුම් කළ දිනයේ සිට දෛනික ජීවිතයේ දී පන්සිල් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම ගැනත්, මෙම භාවනාව ගැනත් දැඩි උනන්දුවක් දක්වන පැරණි සිසුන් සඳහා පමණි.
සේවා කාලය - වැඩ කාලය වෙන් කර ඇත්තේ මධ්යස්ථානයේ නඩත්තු කටයුතු,ඉදිකිරීම්, ගෘහ සහ උද්යාන ව්යාපෘති සඳහාය. සියළුම පැරණි සිසුන්ට මේවාට සහභාගි වීමට ඇරයුම් කෙරේ. දෛනික කාලසටහනට සමූහ භාවනා තුනක් සහ උදේ සවස සේවා කටයුතු අඩංගු වේ. සමහර සන්ධ්යාවන්හි ගොඑන්කා තුමා විසින් පැරණි සිසුන්ට කරන ලද විශේෂ දේශනාවලට සවන් දීමට සවන් දීමට හැකි වනු ඇත.
